"Stretching across my homeland of Iran, our vast rich desert landscapes have shaped our people, our culture, our stories and traditions. This ongoing body of work explores patterns that re-connect me to my ancestry through land and place. A way for me to return home from afar, to the soils and sand-scapes I am yet to walk on."

Inspired by the arid textures and colours of the infinitely rich desert landscapes of Prita's homeland of Iran.

These textiles are apart of her practice to revive and protect traditional crafts and the cultural heritage connected to them.

They are objects of culture, a physical manifestation of Iranian tangible cultural heritage. However, the living traditions, rituals and knowledge sharing process behind their creation, safeguards the growing loss of cultural heritage of her people.
